Frequently Asked Questions

To apply for the Google Ad Grant your organization has to be accepted into the Google for Nonprofits program first. This means your organization must hold a valid charity status in its country. In the United States, your organization must be registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Certain categories of organization are not eligible for Google Ad Grants. These include governmental entities and organizations, hospitals and medical groups, schools, academic institutions, and universities.

Your organization has to own the domain and website that visitors will land on after clicking a link from an ad.

Your website must also follow certain quality guidelines, including details about security, content, and user experience. We will work with you (or your web developer) to implement any updates needed to meet Google’s “high-quality website” guidelines.

The Google Ad Grant program requires that you stay compliant with a detailed set of policies in order for the $10,000/mo grant to stay active. You can read more about the compliance policy here.

The main benefit of using a Google Ad Grant management service is that you don’t need to worry about these details: we will set up and maintain your account to keep the grant active.

The Google Ad Grant program requires that you have conversion tracking set up, and setting up Google Analytics goals or conversion events is one option to achieve that. Alternatively, you can add Google Ads conversion tracking without installing Google Analytics.

Setting up conversion tracking allows you to optimize your Google Ad campaigns for specific desirable user actions on your website, like signing up for your email list, downloading a resource, or making a donation.
