Case Study

Modernizing a Local EMS Website

We migrated Middlebury Regional EMS from an aging, difficult to maintain static HTML website to Squarespace — a modern, responsive and secure website builder that is easy for staff to maintain.

Middlebury Regional EMS (MREMS) is a non-profit public safety organization, providing EMS, heavy rescue, community education, emergency dispatch, switchboard services, vaccine clinics and more for an 11-town area in Vermont.

I worked with MREMS to modernize the organizations web presence. At the time, the organization had an aging, difficult-to-maintain static HTML website. We developed a plan to migrate their website to Squarespace — a modern, responsive and secure website builder that is easy for MREMS staff to update and maintain.

GiveLively Donation form, optimized for display on mobile devices

In addition to refreshing the design and updating content, we also took the opportunity to upgrade MREMS’s technology for accepting secure online donations.

We selected the free donation form tool provided by GiveLively. I provided support setting up the GiveLively account and integrating the donation form into the website. (If you’re interested in following this process and integrating free GiveLively donation forms into your website, check out our guide here.)
